For Your Life

Michelle believes healthcare should work for real life—not just on paper. For too many families, getting care means navigating confusing rules, fighting insurance denials, or delaying treatment because of cost. That is not a system that works—it is a system that needs fixing.

As your representative, Michelle will focus on practical, achievable solutions that make healthcare more accessible, more affordable, and easier to use for everyone in our community.

Lower Costs and Reduce Financial Stress

Michelle will work to bring down out-of-pocket costs that strain family budgets. She will support measures to cap prescription drug prices, expand access to generic medications, and increase transparency so patients know what care will cost before they receive it. She will also advocate for policies that prevent surprise medical billing and hold insurance companies accountable when they deny necessary care.

Improve Access to Care

Too many residents struggle to find timely appointments, especially for primary care, mental health services, and specialists. Michelle will push to expand provider networks, incentivize healthcare professionals to serve underserved areas, and support telehealth options that make care more convenient—particularly for working families and seniors.

Strengthen Women’s Health Services

Michelle is committed to ensuring women can access comprehensive, affordable care at every stage of life. She will advocate for expanded prenatal and postpartum care, improved maternal health outcomes, and stronger protections for reproductive healthcare access so women can make decisions with their doctors—not insurance companies or politicians.

Support Seniors with Dignity and Security

Seniors deserve a healthcare system that respects their needs and their independence. Michelle will work to protect and strengthen Medicare, expand access to in-home care and community-based services, and ensure seniors can afford medications without having to choose between prescriptions and basic necessities.

Make Mental Health Care a Priority

Mental health is healthcare, and Michelle will treat it that way. She will support increased funding for mental health services, integrate mental health care into primary care settings, and expand crisis response programs so people can get help when and where they need it.

Simplify a Complicated System

Healthcare should not require a law degree to navigate. Michelle will push for clearer communication from insurers, streamlined enrollment processes, and stronger consumer protections so families can focus on their health—not paperwork and red tape.

Michelle Embree Ku understands that real progress comes from tackling problems head-on and delivering results people can feel in their daily lives. She is ready to work with anyone—Democrats, Republicans, and healthcare providers alike—to fix what is broken and build a system that truly serves our community.

Because healthcare should work for real life—and Michelle is ready to make that happen.
